Company Overview
Steadfast Collective is a pioneering digital agency, committed to crafting community-centric digital applications accessed by millions worldwide.
As a collective, we're devoted to leaving the digital world better than we discovered it, and our commitment shines brightly in every project we undertake.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer with strong digital experience to join our fully remote team.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about design, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys seeing their designs come to life in functional, scalable websites and applications.
You’ll be involved in every stage of a project, from early planning and research through to design and handover—working alongside developers, project managers, and clients. We’re looking for someone as comfortable presenting to clients as they are pushing pixels, with the ability to contribute strategically to the success of the project and the wider client relationship.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design user interfaces for web platforms, tools, and content-led sites.
Shape user journeys by creating wireframes, low-fidelity flows, and polished prototypes.
Develop and maintain structured Figma files using components and design systems.
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are flawlessly implemented.
Present design work clearly to the team and, where needed, to clients, explaining decisions and gathering feedback.
Join project planning sessions to help shape features, functionality, and direction.
Take part in client calls to understand project goals and contribute to ongoing relationship building.
What We’re Looking For
We think these core skills and experience are needed to do the role well. If you don’t tick every box, that’s okay—we’re open to a conversation if you feel this is the right fit.
A portfolio showing a strong mix of UI and UX work, with clear explanations behind design decisions.
Confident using Figma for layout and design, and comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite for asset creation and editing.
Experience translating project briefs and requirements into well-structured, responsive design files.
A good understanding of digital design principles, including layout, spacing, hierarchy, and usability.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, project managers, and clients.
Comfortable working remotely, both in a team and independently, managing your time, meeting deadlines, and responding calmly to changing needs.
Nice to Have
These aren’t essential. They’re also things we’re happy to support you in developing over time.
Experience contributing to client strategy or helping shape digital product direction.
Basic motion design knowledge (e.g. Figma Smart Animate, After Effects, or Lottie).
Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and designing with inclusion in mind.
Exposure to user testing or reviewing user feedback to inform design choices.
An interest in supporting long-term client growth, understanding how design choices tie into business goals
Personal Attributes
Strong attention to detail: You notice the small things that make a big difference.
Creative and curious: interested in new ideas, tools, and approaches to design.
Practical in your thinking: focused on finding clear, effective solutions.
Comfortable working independently: able to use good judgment and keep things moving without needing step-by-step direction.
