Conferences we're heading to in 2020
Conferences are a fantastic place to get inspired, learn new skills and meet new people.
I’ve found conferences to be essential when it comes to growing my network, not treating them as a place to distribute business cards but a place to cultivate relationships which last. Dan and I covered our Conference top tips in series one of Inside The Studio.
Here’s a breakdown of the conferences I’m excited to be attending this year.
New Adventures 22nd-23rd January, Nottingham
A well-organised conference with a schedule packed full of through-provoking talks.
The primary conference day is a delight, but it’s the pre and post-conference elements which draw my attention. There’s something about bowling a strike with your new friends to cement a relationship. newadventuresconf.com/2020/
StartUp 2020 25th January, Manchester
StartUp is the UK’s biggest conference aimed at startups, and for the first time, it’s in Manchester.
Startup conferences always have an exciting buzz, with new ideas shared over coffee, on stage and through the show floor.
TEDxWinchester 25th March, Winchester
TEDxWinchester will be my first TED event and I couldn’t be more excited.
What is sure to be an inspiring day, in University of Winchester’s new building, with open-minded individuals. I’ve only heard good things about the community that TED events encourage, and I’m looking forward to seeing that grow on my doorstep. tedxwinchester.com
WXG 21st May, Guilford
WXG is an all-day tech conference exploring what we can be achieved when we work together — organised by the folks at Kyan, this one of my conference highlights from last year.
The venue, food and vibe at this conference were top notch.

The Congregation Of Inspiration 25th September, London
Holly Tucker MBE with her team over at holly.co, craft this beautiful conference filled with aspirational folk looking to build business for good.
Holly.co is one of our partner clients and it is fantastic to see all their digital efforts in a physical space in London. holly.co
Creative X Business 30th Jan, 27th Feb, 26th March
Okay, not a conference but our monthly events in Southampton encompass so many of the values of the conferences above.
Sharing before taking, learning and community. It’s an honour to have such a fantastic lineup for the next few events.
