Digital Community Survey 2021

Together with Autumn Live, Steadfast Collective is running a new digital survey, compiling data to show how communities have been interacting online over the past 12 months – with a special focus on how Covid-19 has impacted the way in which we run events.

If you are employed or volunteer as a community leader, we would love for you to take part in the survey.

Taking roughly 10 minutes to complete, you will gain first access to the report, and we’ll plant five trees with our friends at Ecologi for each survey response.

The survey

The Digital Community Survey has been designed to collect data from community leaders across the UK, looking at communities of all shapes and sizes, from niche local community events (such as Steadfast’s very own Creative X Business), small hobbyist communities, and right through to large paid or membership communities.

Covid-19 has had a significant impact on community events in 2020 and 2021, forcing many communities to head online to platforms such as Zoom and Teams.

The survey looks at the size and demographic of these communities, focusing on the technologies and platforms community leaders have been utilising to connect community members digitally.

It also looks ahead to the future of events, gathering data as to whether community leaders are planning to head back to in-person events, sticking to online, or a hybrid of both.

Running for three weeks, from 16th of March to 6th April 2021, the survey is open to all UK community leaders, so please do share with anyone you know who is a community leader (paid or voluntarily).
