We collaborated with Elemis to create an in-store customer experience app that transformed their manual data capture process into a seamless digital journey. Customers now enter their information via tablets, instantly connecting to Elemis’s data warehouse. The app includes powerful features such as product scanning for hyper-personalised marketing and a streamlined customer recognition system. Built on Laravel, the app is easily deployed across UK stores, significantly boosting Elemis’s marketing capabilities and eliminating the need for paper forms. Steadfast Collective continues to support Elemis, enhancing the app with new features for their launches in Selfridges and Harrods.
We had the privilege of working with Elemis to support the launch of their new in-store customer experience app. The idea of the app was born from a desire to refine their current manual processes of capturing customer data and treatment requirements and support broader and more personalised marketing opportunities. Customers were required to manually fill out paper forms for consent, marketing preferences, and product information. These forms were often incomplete, complex to store, and not easily referenced.
To avoid missing data and improve customers' marketing journeys, we decided to digitise the form, connect it directly to their data warehouse, and add quality-of-life improvements and ways to support the Elemis marketing team to make more of an impact.
We worked closely with the Elemis team to develop a low-maintenance, easy-to-use, efficient system. Customers would visit the store, enter their information via a tablet and instantly be recognised in Elemis's data warehouse. With the customer experience flow now being digital, we were able to bring in improved "ease-of-life" experiences, including postcode lookups, returning customer flows, and consent reminders. In addition to digitising the consent and data collection process, we introduced the ability to scan products via a barcode reader linking specific products to customer profiles within the data warehouse, equipping the internal teams with the ability to hyper-personalise their marketing outreach.
To make sure the end product is as easy to use as possible, our UX/UI design team worked with Elemis to design the product journey and application flow, and our Laravel development team focused on technical capabilities and data storage, specifically working around limitations with tablet WiFi connectivity in some stores.
The final deliverable was a fully functional Laravel web app, easily deployable to store tablets across the UK. This app streamlined the data capture process, eliminated the need for paper forms, and significantly enhanced Elemis’s marketing capabilities. Elemis valued Steadfast Collective’s role as a technical partner, helping them create a product that was not only accessible nationwide but also centralised for efficient management. It is a joy to continue working with Elemis, supporting their recent launch into Selfridges and Harrods with new product features.
