Adoptium

Adoptium, a trusted provider of OpenJDK distributions, needed a new website that would appeal to corporate partners without losing its strong developer community. As the organisation grew, it became clear that the existing site needed a refresh to reflect Adoptium’s evolving brand and readiness for enterprise collaboration.

Adoptium partnered with Steadfast Collective to lead the design phase of this repositioning strategy. We aimed to create a site that balanced professional aesthetics with technical credibility, bridging the gap between open-source reliability and corporate appeal.

We started the project with a strategic workshop, working closely with the Adoptium team to define the project’s goals and desired outcomes. This collaborative approach ensured everyone was aligned on the vision: to enhance Adoptium’s enterprise credibility while preserving the community engagement it was known for.

Our team explored multiple design concepts that captured Adoptium’s new brand identity. Through an iterative process, we refined these designs based on feedback, creating a layout highlighting Adoptium’s technical expertise and showcasing its value to potential corporate partners.

The final design featured intuitive navigation and a modern look that spoke to developers and corporate users. We structured the content to cater to different audiences, with dedicated sections highlighting Adoptium’s corporate solutions, partnerships, and case studies. This clear segmentation made finding relevant information accessible for different user groups.

Since its launch, Adoptium has seen increased corporate inquiries and partnership opportunities. The new website effectively communicates its enterprise readiness while maintaining its strong community focus, positioning Adoptium for continued growth.
