The industry guide for leisure vehicles, designed to complement the National Caravan Council’s twice-yearly events, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The National Caravan Council was founded in 1939 as a UK trade body, representing the collective interests of a £6 billion per year industry.

With their vision in mind, the NCC appointed Steadfast Collective to create a digital industry guide for new leisure vehicles.

Launched in late 2021, Find My Leisure Vehicle is designed to complement the National Caravan Council’s twice-yearly events, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Goal

To design and build a new industry standard web application for vehicle enthusiasts to research and find further information about new models of caravans, motorhomes and campervans.

Find My Leisure Vehicle collates and displays data from various manufacturers and brands across the UK and allows enthusiasts to search and filter through 1000s of data points until they find their ideal vehicle.

Searching is only the start, as enthusiasts are encouraged to view further details of vehicles and compare vital specification data in an easy-to-understand table.

Enthusiasts can add chosen vehicles to their favourites list, ready for an easy-to-print handout for each NCC industry show.

Results

Find My Leisure Vehicle collates, sorts and filters complex vehicle data behind the scenes to create a simple-to-use, quick-to-navigate and traffic-driving platform for the leisure vehicle demographic.

Our custom-created product management system allows the team at the NCC to bulk upload vehicle data, add product images, and tweak specifications on an ad-hoc basis.

Within the product management system, NCC team members can view analytical usage data for different touchpoints around the platform.

Enthusiasts are encouraged to register for the platform, which allows them to compare vehicles on the fly and create a list of favourites. PDF downloadables are generated for comparisons and favourites, allowing users to print for ease of use.

When designing Find My Leisure Vehicle, an emphasis was placed on mobile usability, with many of the tools being designed specifically for smaller screen sizes.

Once launched, The NCC collated feedback from a pool of users. Find My Leisure Vehicle has received very high customer satisfaction feedback, with nearly all users agreeing they would recommend it to other enthusiasts.

This initial phase of Find My Leisure Vehicle has given the NCC a solid foundation to grow and build the platform into the industry standard for anyone looking to find their perfect leisure vehicle.
