INDX Shows

INDX Shows, a series of leading trade events for independent retailers, needed a modern, intuitive website to better connect with their audience. While their previous platform was functional, it lacked the visual appeal and usability required to effectively showcase their expanding portfolio of events. INDX Shows wanted a platform that would highlight their events and streamline content management, allowing their team to respond quickly to new opportunities.

We kicked off the project with a collaborative workshop alongside the INDX team. This session was crucial in defining the core objectives: improving event visibility, boosting user engagement, and enabling the marketing team to manage content easily. By aligning these goals with INDX’s vision, we laid a strong foundation for the design and development phases.

Our design approach centred on creating a visually dynamic and professional site that would appeal to INDX’s diverse audience. The focus was on clean navigation and an intuitive layout that made it easy for users to find event details. Through regular feedback sessions with the INDX team, we refined the design to balance visual impact with usability, resulting in a sleek, user-friendly interface.

For the development, we chose Statamic as the CMS. Its flexibility and powerful content management capabilities meant the INDX marketing team could update and manage content effortlessly. Key features like customisable content blocks and interactive elements like event calendars and exhibitor lists were added to enhance engagement.

The new website has significantly improved INDX Shows’ digital presence. It has elevated event visibility and increased user engagement, while the marketing team now has complete control over content management. This project showcases the value of aligning design and development with strategic goals, ensuring INDX Shows remains at the forefront of the trade show industry.
