Announcing our website giveaway winner 2021…
In May, we opened our £15,000 website giveaway to entrants, looking to champion an organisation that is passionate about its community.
The Steadfast Collective team shortlisted entries to five finalists before voting was handed over to the public.
A great big thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for their favourite organisations. At times, it was a very tight race!
We have tallied up the votes and are excited to announce that the winner of a new website is Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice.
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides specialist end-of-life, palliative, and respite care for children aged 0-5 with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. They provide 24-hour, one-to-one individualised care for each child. Over and above their necessary medical care, children can access a range of specialist therapies, such as sensory therapy, hydrotherapy, play therapy and music therapy. Zoë’s Place benefits children and families from all over the UK, with hospices in Coventry, Liverpool and Middlesbrough.
Wendy Reason, our Director of Development, Marketing and Communications said:
A bit more about the charity:
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides a special and fun home-from-home for babies and infants. They give children who come through their doors expert medical care, whilst also making sure that they have the opportunity to create happy memories and have fun. The nurses and healthcare assistants play exciting and therapeutic games, draw pictures and create crafts, make exciting music with the children, and so much more. Therapies can also be fun, with sensory play incorporating fun lights and music, and hydrotherapy giving children a chance to splash and play in the water.
It can be extremely challenging looking after children with complex medical needs, and many of the babies cared for require 24-hour attention from their parents and carers, which is exhausting. Coming to Zoë’s Place gives families a much-needed opportunity to rest and recuperate, and spend time with siblings, and has been more valuable than ever during these challenging times. The families who come to Zoë’s Place say that it is like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders, especially having somewhere that they know their babies will be well cared for and all of their child’s needs will be met.
Winning the new website will enable Zoë’s Place to highlight the wide range of services they provide to children, explaining to potential families and donors the huge range of work that they do.
Zoë’s Place is somewhere special and joyful for children and families who visit, and we at Steadfast Collective, together with our expert design partner Lobo Creative, look forward to creating an informative and engaging website for the hospices.
