An online hub of inspiration for small business owners

Holly & Co are cheerleaders for small business owners in the UK; headed up by Holly Tucker, founder of notonthehighstreet.com and the UK ambassador for small businesses.

Holly & Co champions the artists, creatives, illustrators, makers and writers with inspiration and practical advice. Their main aim is to help people in small businesses to fulfil their potential.

Steadfast Collective was initially approached by the Holly & Co team to rebuild their website, holly.co, creating a brand new design and moving it from a custom CMS to WordPress, so that it was easy to edit for their team.

The Goal

The goals of the new Holly & Co website were all underpinned with the idea that Holly & Co were not looking for a run-of-the-mill, predictable website but were looking for something distinctive to their personality and brand identity.

The website required in-built eCommerce functionality, enabling the team to intersperse products throughout the site. Strategic thought was needed to bring focus to how video, blog, podcast and product content would be categorised and tagged.

Utilising WordPress and WooCommerce, the Holly & Co team were looking for ultimate flexibility, and the ability to update the website quickly and fluidly on their terms.

Results

Holly & Co were presented with a bold, beautiful and unique WordPress website with ultimate flexibility around content input and eCommerce functionality. The site has a members area and is highly interactive for users.

In March 2020, we jumped onto the build of the new SME:SOS section, an online hub of resources to highlight help available to small business owners during the COVID-19 crisis.

Since our initial website launch for Holly & Co in 2018, we have also worked with the team on the second phase of development (2020), including a further design overhaul, giving the website a fresh lease of life.

We continue to work with the team at Holly & Co on an ongoing basis, making new updates and improvements to ensure that their website is a highly-functional and easy-to-explore hub of content, products and event information for small business owners
